Frequently Asked Questions

Dates. Can I book a tour for a specific date?

On your Request a Reservation Form, there is an opportunity to select a first, second, and third choice of dates for the tour you have selected (9-day or 12-day). After 4-14 persons have indicated an interest in the date(s) you have chosen, we will then notify you of specific dates available for that tour. You may make a selection of specific dates at the time when you make your deposit.

Flight Pickup. How do you know when and where to meet me?

Once we receive your payment, you will receive a confirmation form and further information regarding your hotel and other travel information. If you are arriving by air – either Casablanca or Rabat, we will also need to know which airport, your flight number and arrival time.Your guide will meet you at the airport and transport you to your hotel.

Age Limit. Is there an age limit for taking the tour?

Yes. Participants must be at least 12 years of age. Participants under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the entire journey.

Large Group. How do I book a tour for more than 14 people?

Payment. How do I make payment?

When the actual tour date has been established (after 4-14 persons have signed up, including yourself), you will receive a secure payment form by e-mail.

When is my payment due?

Your deposit is due at least 90 days before departure. The balance due at least 45 days before departure. For reservations made within 60 days of the departure date, full payment is required when the reservation is accepted. We may cancel your reservation if full payment has not been received at least 45 days prior to departure and you will forfeit any deposit deposit. Please see our Terms and Conditions. It is strongly suggested that you purchase Trip Insurance.

Cancellation. What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations received 60 days or more prior to departure receive a full refund less an administrative fee of $500. No refunds will be made for cancellations received fewer than 60 days before departure. Leaving an expedition in progress, for any reason whatsoever, will not result in a refund, and no refunds will be made for any unused portions of a tour. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions.

When do I get more trip information?

Special Requests. Can you accommodate special requests?

Yes, in most cases. If you have special dietary needs, require wheelchair access or a ground-floor level room, please indicate that on your reservation form. If you have other needs, such as a requirement for Oxygen when traveling, please contact us directly by telephone. (505) 780-8995 (U.S.)

What clothing and specials items should I bring?

Daytime temperatures can be quite warm. You will need comfortable, loose, cool clothing. Evenings can be cool. Bring a jacket or light weight cover up. Most hotel rooms will have air conditioning, but not all. Desert temperatures fluctuate from cold at night to very hot in the day, but you will need to be covered to prevent sunburn. If you are sleeping in a tent, we will provide extra blankets.

Bring sunglasses and head covering. Sunscreen may be purchased once you arrive. Bring comfortable shoes for walking.

Moroccans value modesty. Please respect the culture and do not wear clothing that exposes a lot of skin. Long sleeves and long pants or skirts are appropriate for most places you visit. We will visit both of the historical mosques that allow visitors.

Is it OK to eat Arab or Moroccan food?

Yes, but please eat only the food we provide with your tour or recommended by your guide. Some people may find it difficult to consume food they are unaccustomed to or that has been seasoned with unusual spices. We make sure that all meals meet our strict requirements for preparation and content. If you have food allergies or other special diet needs (gluten or lactose intolerant, diabetes, etc), please note that on your reservation form.

We will provide water during the tour. Please stay well hydrated.

Alcoholic beverages are not included with your tour, but may be purchased in several locations.

What kind of insurance do I need to book a trip?

Health insurance is highly recommended. During your tour with Magical Moroccan Travels, you will be covered by a Moroccan travel agency with liability insurance.

What is included in your tour?

Tours include lodging, breakfast, lunch & dinner, tour transportation in comfortable vehicles, airport transpoft, all applicable attraction and entry fees, and liability insurance in Morocco. Your tour guide is also your driver, and there are also “official” guides in Fés and Marrakech.

What is Not included in the tour?

Not included are tips, alcoholic beverages, optional excursions, air travel and air travel insurance, trip cancellation insurance.
